Another Baby Step, TM UniFi

Yup, congratulation and many thanks to TM (Telekom Malaysia) for their afford, or they should take this action long time ago, provide the best internet services to us Malaysia citizen.

From Dial-Up, to Streamyx. And now, UniFi. I can bet it's the highest speed broadband (within Malaysia only, ops!) nowadays. They offer 3 package base on the speed, VIP5 for 5Mbps dl & ul, VIP10 for 10Mbps, and VIP20 for... You know...

The package incl. IPTV, wow!, and tel line. Hmm, their tv channels still not attractive, but... Ehem! When the contract between HBO and Astro gonna end? Ehem again!

So, my astro bil only RM70 something. I using P1 Wimax, around RM99 something I think. I don't have tel line at home. VIP5 only cost me RM149. If I throw away my astro and wimax... Hahaha! Think for yourself -- Lu fikir laa sendiri.

Fancy a RingTone?!

Most people walking on earth own a mobile phone. Even kindergarden child own one. I can still remember long time ago while I was a collage student, not everybody can afford to buy a handphone. World changing so fast, now a handphone not only use to communicate, but can be use to take photo and listen to music. Just a flash back, 1st generation handphone use MIDI format for call alert, or perhaps nicer to to use the term Ringtone. After that, polyphonic, the sound just getting better. Then truetone take over the market. Now, for those who still using all these format is just outdated.

I love to create my own ringtone. Before this I use window movie maker to create WMA file from MP3, then convert it back to MP3. Some phone may support WMA, but I prefer MP3 because it easy for me to tweak the bit rate and stuff. But today I wanna share a special website that I use to create a ringtone. http://makeownringtone.com/ It is easy to use. No software download what so ever. Just upload your fav song in MP3, WMA, or OGG. Then just place a markers. After you satisfy, just click at the Make A Ringtone tab below. Finish! Download it and upload it into your phone, set as ringtone. Funky!!!

If you can notice, there is some feature you can't use in this page. 1st of all, you cannot use your right click right. No worries matey, it is not like your mouse broken or something. You still can use your left click, ha-ha. 2nd, you cannot use your mouse to high lighten any text and image. Just give it a try. Still cannot right?! Well, I did all this to protect my stuff. It's not like I don't want to share, please help yourself. Use your keyboard, press Ctrl + A to select all. Press Ctrl + C to copy and I believe you know the rest. Or you can just click at Edit button up there to copy and paste.

The things is, how good you are, how smart you are, there is always a loop hole somewhere. Well, no body perfect. And nobody is immortal right. All this give us a chance to improve our self and give opportunity for others to become better. I'm not just talking writing about plagiarism, but to every single thing in this world. For example, my last post is about IPhone imitation. Some people might say it just not ethical. Is it? Bullcrap! No offence mate! Just think about it, two devices, almost same features, one price is around £400 and other is £60. If you are smart, which one you choose? Yes, you can say the price is to cover the R&D and stuff. But I say that half of it goes to CEO and BOD pocket, ahaks! C’mon, rule of thumb. If you sell the phone for £60, gain profits only £10 but all living human buy it. Imagine; 6,792,467,727 (current human population on earth) X £10 = £67,924,677,270.00. WOW, almost £68 billion profit! You happy, I happy and the rest of the world happy.

China is so damn cool!

I believe everybody know IPhone by Apple, right! So damn expensive. The cheapest I can found in Ebay cost £230... Ok, I'm not a fan of IPhone what so ever (diehard fan of Sony Ericsson, long live SE!), but while I 'window shopping' at Ebay, I found a phone similar to IPhone and the price average is only £60. No Kidding! China made, but they said the phone was designed in US. They called it SciPhone, there is 2 type of them; i68+ and i9+++. Very-very similar to IPhone. And they claim it much more better then IPhone. One of the feature that I like is the phone can support 2 sim card active in one time! Now I wonder, long time ago Japan lost a war to US, but now their more advance in tech compare to US. How they manage to achieve it? What I heard was they copycat the knowledge from US and upgrade so it become much more better. Is it wrong? I believe it's not because as a MSc student, what I do is took somebody else work, do a little touch up, put some opinion, might be add a graph, and the work is mine! Well, I contribute a little to the world. And after this, some other student will take my work and do the same.
